Privacy policy

This privacy policy explains how Sommerfeld B.V. handles personal data in the LibiMEX app and on this website, in line with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

In short: LibiMEX has no accounts, no ads and no tracking. Everything you enter stays on your own device. We do not collect, sell or share your personal data.

Stored only on your device

• Player names you enter, the last game's names, an unfinished game, your settings (language, sound, tips, name size, roll mode) and the in-app statistics per name (rounds played, Mex, Bold Mex Winner). These stay on your iPhone or iPad and are never sent to us.
• Free-trial counter: how many of the three free games you have used, kept in your device's secure storage (Keychain) so that it survives reinstalling the app. It contains no personal details.
• Motion sensor: when you roll by shaking, the app reads the phone's motion sensor only while it is your turn. The movements are processed on the device to roll the dice and are not stored or sent anywhere.

You can delete all of this at any time by deleting the app (the trial counter is kept by iOS and contains no personal data).

Purchases (LibiMEX Unlimited)

Purchases are handled entirely by Apple through the App Store, under Apple's own terms and privacy policy. We do not receive your name, Apple ID, email address or payment details. The app only asks Apple whether a purchase exists and when it was made, to unlock LibiMEX Unlimited for 365 days. Apple acts as an independent controller for this; see apple.com/legal/privacy.

No tracking

The app contains no analytics, no advertising and no tracking, and does not use the advertising identifier. Apple may share anonymous crash and usage data with us only if you have allowed this in your device settings; these reports do not identify you.

Children

LibiMEX is intended for adults (18+).

This website uses no cookies, no analytics and no external fonts or scripts. Like every website, our hosting provider (STRATO GmbH, Germany, within the EU) processes technical data such as your IP address in server logs to deliver the pages and keep them secure. This is based on our legitimate interest (GDPR art. 6(1)(f)); the logs are kept only for a short period by the hosting provider.

If you email us, we use your email address and message only to answer you, and keep them no longer than needed.

You have the right to access, correct, delete and restrict processing of your personal data, to object, and to data portability. As we hold almost no personal data, most requests are easiest done on your own device. For questions or requests, mail info@sommerfeld-bv.com; we answer within one month.

You may also complain to the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens), autoriteitpersoonsgegevens.nl.

We may update this policy, for example when the app gets new features. The date at the top shows the latest version.
